Financial Innovation Award 2017 Awarded by London Institute of Banking and Finance.

 FinLit Nepal has been awarded the Financial Innovation Award 2017 by The London Institute of Banking and Finance. FinLit Nepal won the Best Financial Inclusion or Outreach Initiative – Highly Commended on Thurday 7th December 2017 at Hilton Bankside, London, UK. Managing Director of FinLit Nepal, Mr. Prakash Koirala received the award representing FinLit Nepal. Among the competitors for the award, were renowned international organizations including Lloyds Banking Group, HSBC Bank, Virgin Money, Blackbullion and Parity Trust.  A total of 3761 people contested for the award.

FinLit Nepal received the award for its continuous engagement with rural communities in different parts of Nepal. Varied programs engaging different target groups brought together people from different background to work together on financial education and inclusion.

This is the 20th series of the Financial Innovation Award. London Institute of Banking & Finance and UK Finance established this award for the promotion of financial inclusion worldwide.
